Life is What Happens to You...
...while you're busy making other plans. My dad used to say that to me when I was a teenager and I always thought it was so wise. A few years later, I learned that those are lyrics from the John Lennon song, 'Beautiful Boy', and felt a bit duped, though to be fair my dad never claimed he had made it up. Anyway, life has happened to us in a big way in the past couple of months and we are still catching our breath. All good things, but somewhat unexpected and many other things have been put on hold, or at least turned down to low simmer in the meantime.
Also, very annoyingly, I have lost the USB cable that attaches my camera to my computer, so while I can take photos, I can't upload them. It's been driving me nuts because I know it's somewhere in our apartment - I almost never take it anywhere - but multiple frantic searches have turned up nothing. So I finally broke down and ordered a new one. I'm nearly finished a group of eleven new dolls, so I hope to have photos of them on the blog in the next couple of weeks. (My USB cable is coming from the distant shores of Hong Kong...hurry, hurry, hurry!)
If you want to watch a very touching but rather heartbreaking video of the titular song, here are some lovely images of John, Yoko and Sean.

My father used to say "Humans plan, God laughs."
I am willing to bet money that you will find the usb cable within a few days after the replacement arrives from Hong Kong.
John Lennon wasn't the first one to use that line either!
I haven't see u 4 a while. I really love your work, I also want to be a doll artist too. I'm practicing, but lately i don't have time to do anything, because of the exams (be a student is hard). I wonder if u practice and create doll all by yourself, or have u learned in art school. I'm looking for great art college, but i don't know which to chose. :P
I never went to art school - I just learned through practice and reading different books (you can check out my FAQ for some of my favourites). Good luck finding a school!
